By studying a wide range of critical health issues, The Endowment, along with its Board of Advisory Council, choose a few targeted theme areas where factors suggest that timing is critical.

Each of the four Endowment for Health themes describes a critical, unmet need that affects a significant number of people in New Hampshire. We generally remain active in themes for five or more years. During that time, we develop and apply evaluation tools to measure the impact of our support in each theme area.

In addition to funding theme-related projects through grants, the Endowment for Health also helps to create systemic improvement by lending its visibility and leverage, providing knowledge and voice, and fostering leadership within the themes.
