Types of Grants
The Endowment selects grant types that address the needs identified by our grant applicants, the nonprofit organizations of New Hampshire. We also strive to complement the grantmaking efforts of other New Hampshire and national grantmakers so together we address health issues at the statewide, regional, and national level.

The Endowment for Health supports the following grant types:

Applied Research and Data Grants
Applied Research Grants and Data Grants provide funds for applied research and data collection and/or analysis in order to better understand health issues in New Hampshire. Only applications solicited by an invitation from the Endowment are accepted for this grant type.

Planning, Convening, and Technical Assistance Grants
Planning Grants, Convening Grants, and Technical Assistance Grants provide funds to support project planning, health-related symposia and conferences, and technical assistance.

Theme Implementation Grants
Theme Implementation Grants provide significant funds over multi-year periods to help organizations implement model solutions to critical health issues in New Hampshire. These grants focus on selected health-related themes (see sidebar) that address critical, unmet, population-based needs that affect a significant number of people in New Hampshire.

Public Policy Grants
Public Policy Grants provide funds to conduct research, data collection and analysis, convening, planning, and technical assistance to address critical gaps between current public policies and the health-related goals they are expected to achieve.

Discretionary Grants
